Morning all. Two Oceans have taken Sun City and Posh Boy to KZN for the Gold Cup . They are both honest, old horses and deserve a crack at a decent graded race. Bernard worked both horses in the week and felt that Posh Boy is rearing to go. Sun City is a laid back individual and races accordingly at the back of the field. Bernard is on Sun City as he can't make the weight on Posh Boy. I think Clairwood will suit Sun City better than Greyville as he runs on very late.
My banker on the day is Tijuana Brass in race 8...but then I have got it wrong before. lol
Tipping and posting your fancies and information is all about the intention... my intention is always good. Cheers.

Hope it 'Strike Smartly' like the other babies did in the week. All the best Craig

Maybe Man U should play there home games at Wimbledon? Why is it called home town advantage if it is not? You can say and write what you want, it is an advantage in 99% of cases to train on course. Name me the Clairwood trainers who would rather race at Summerveld if we had a course than at home at Clairwood? My 1st timer left her box 45 mins ago for Clairwood and if there had been a Clwd runner it would have left her box in 2hrs time. No float trip or anything. Just relaxing in her own box. If people punt and dont take into account where the horse is trained they are leaving out a very important factor. There were plenty of private trainers in Newmarket but as to the number I am not sure. Dont know of any MDK horses that went back to JHB.

Plus if the horses know their cozy stable is just round the corner from the finishing post, makes them run race faster just so they can get back to the comforts of home:D

horses fly across continents and times zone to compete in races mdk on a regular basis raids jhb overnight with success and vice versa and you believe in this massive advantage of not having to travel 40 minutes by float ...maybe the clairwood trainers are at a disadvantage by racing at pmb because its further away from clwd than it is from summerveld or ashburton plus clwd is below sealevel and the altitude at pmb will affect them...

I for one am very sad that Clairwood is closing, I found it so much more friendlier than Greyville, I found Greyville to be way more "Clinical" as it were, it is sad that punters, the very people that pour in the money are never consulted, if anything punters are actually the shareholders but thats my lowly opinion of course, power to the punters please!!!!!

I have 2 runners at the Vaal on thursday. Maybe I should stable at Turffontein if the travelling to the course on raceday morning will help.
