What's the biggest betting coup you guys haver ever seen a trainer line up, mine was Owen Simms preparing a horse called surtsey island with Wroggeman up, I think it was backed from 25s to evens and won hands down , another one I enjoyed was a horse called Sandton Doll trained by Danny Gonsalves ridden by Gavin van Zyl that one opened around 10s and started very short and won hands down

The ex PE horse that had been running over ground and won first run for Bertie V/d Merwe @ Bloem over 1200m with Paul Whitmore up ..they never forgot to back that one 25/1 in around 12/10
Give everything but up!

2 Trainers stand out for me who consistently pulled off successful coups:

Passmores in Natal and MdK's mentor......Ricky Ginsberg.

For me there was 1 master in pulling coups (by default pulling them up prior) actually he was also one hell of a nice guy. When i did rene's rides rene was his stable jockey. This trainer was remarkable his name was Mike Riley and he will never be forgotten in my household.

i dont remember specifics but when noms came out i would chill for a couple of hours as Mike would not take calls from anyone, I would then drive to the stables at newmarket and he would TELL me what he was riding. Sometimes i looked in amazement BUT the horse won or placed when they appeard to have no chance.
