I also heard that the sangoma gave them the assurance that police won't open fire.What a sad state of affairs, to lose lives in their quest for better wages.

As I have said before, a well positioned marksman could have taken the gunmen out. This is how it was done in the old days.Its all about tactics and training. Tactics employed in this instance resembled Shaka Zulus horn or the 3rd Reich's pincer movement.

There must have been some serious dosage of twala and insangu going around before these miners decided to advance on the police.

i sometimes wonder what are this government members smoking.
Gwende Mantashe says that this whole thing is because the owners of the mine are paying people to destabilize the work force
and they actually believe the shit they are talking
what a joke, I can not think of one reason why a company will destabilize it's own workforce
