YCentaur, probably on TBA site or Summerhill site. They also produce a dvd with the gallops on before the sale. Summerhill gallops are on the 12/10/2012. Give me a shout if I can help.

.....After the breeze up all horses are sent to the TBA sales facility for viewing and actual sale... there you can pull a horse from its box and watch it walk while you look at it...you can also go there and watch all the horses walk every afternoon when they are taken out for their daily walk

STRONG INTERNATIONAL FLAVOUR AT 2012 RTR SALE
The catalogue for the 2012 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale looks a strong one, with
tremendous depth. Not only are many leading local sires represented, there is large group of

A P ARROW
A top class racehorse, A P Arrow won over $1 million in prize money during his highly
successful racing career. By the great sire A P Indy (now retired), A P Arrow is out of a mare
by the great Mr Prospector – like leading sires Malibu Moon and Pulpit. This is his first crop.
Lot 12 is a filly out of an unraced Coastal mare. The filly on sale is a half-sister to four

Runner up in the Japan Derby, Admire Main is the only son of legendary racehorse and sire,

family of 2012 Belmont Stakes winner, Union Rags.

ANTONIUS PIUS
Runner up in the Breeders Cup Mile, Antonius Pius was a top-class 2yo. By the great sire
and sire of sires, Danzig, he is out of an unbeaten G1 winning mare. This is his first local
crop.
Lot 116 is a half-sister to a four time winner. Her dam is a half-sister to the G1 placed stakes
winner, Lake Gate. This is the family of G3 winning juvenile Golden Lullaby.
Lot 202 is a colt out of the top-class G3 winner Express Queen (by champion sire Jet
Master). This is the family of champion Thatching and top local sire Golden Thatch.
ARGONAUT
A brilliant champion at two, Argonaut lost just once during his racing career. By champion
sire Western Winter, Argonaut is a half-brother to four stakes winners including G1 winner
Finest View. This is his first crop.
Lot 34 is a half-sister to a three time winner. Her dam is a stakes placed winner of three, and
this is the family of champions Imperious Sue and Victory Moon.
Lot 68 is a half-sister to a four time winner. Her dam is by top overseas sire Polar Falcon,
and this is the family of champions Greenland Park and Tierce, to name a few.
Lot 174 is a colt out of a winning Jet Master mare. This is the family of Guineas winner
Cardinal Sin, and contains the blood of champions Western Winter and Jet Master.
ASTRONOMER ROYAL
Astronomer Royal is a French 2000 Guineas, by the great sire Danzig. His first crop of 2yos
are showing promise in Europe and include the stakes placed, Sir Patrick Moore.
Lot 58 is a colt whose dam is a half-sister to G3 winner Marie de Ken, dam of G1 filly Ana
Marie. The latter is by a Danzig horse, so the colt on offer is very closely related to Ana
Marie.
Lot 102 is a colt inbred to the great Danzig. His granddam is a G1 winner in Australia, and
this is the family of numerous black type winners in South Africa and Australia.
ATSO
A beautifully bred son of Kingmambo, Atso is out of a daughter of champion racehorse and
sire Seattle Slew. His first crop has made a promising start, including several winners from a
handful of runners.
Lot 71 is a colt out of a mare by top broodmare sire Al Mufti. She is a half-sister to two
stakes winners, including the classic placed White Mischief. This is the family of G1 winner
Citronnade, who like the colt on offer, is by a son of Kingmambo.
AUTHORIZED
Authorized is an English Derby winner by Montjeu – like this year’s sensation, Camelot. His
first crop of 3yos have included a number of stakes winners included the classic runner,
Guarantee.
Lot 178 is a half-sister to two winners. Her dam is by Golden Slipper winner Rory’s Jester,
and second dam is a G3 winner of four. This is a prolific black type family.
BADGER’S DRIFT
He was a champion racehorse, who won the G1 SA Derby and G1 Daily News 2000. A
proven sire, Badger’s Drift is the sire of G1 winner Ivory Trail and good Cape performer,
Hospitality.
Lot 97 is a half-brother to the top-class Run For It, who was runner up in the Cape Guineas
and Daily News 2000. His dam is an own sister to Horse of the Year, Free My Heart.
BLACK MINNALOUSHE
One of the best stallions ever to come to South Africa, proven G1 sire Black Minnaloushe
enjoyed an excellent last season with his 2yos including the likes of The Black Rose and
Black Toga.
Lot 137 is a half-sister to a winner of five. Her dam is a Model Man half-sister to G1 winning
sprinter, Young Harvest.
Lot 171 is a colt out of a winning Rambo Dancer mare. This is the family of G1 Summer Cup
winner Wolf Whistle and legendary SA champion, Wolf Power.
Lot 186 is a half-brother to 3 winners. His dam is an own sister to the dam of SW Charming
Lady. This is the family of champion, Canyon Creek.
CAPTAIN AL
Captain Al is one of South Africa’s very best sires. A multiple champion sire, Captain Al is
sire of last season’s Equus Champion 2yo filly, All is Secret, and numerous other stakes
winners. He is also a very promising broodmare sire.
Lot 17 is a colt, whose dam is a full sister to Oaks winner Monyela and Emerald Cup winner
Iron Curtain. Second dam was a stakes winner, and this is the family of superstar, Horse
Chestnut.
Lot 175 is a half-brother to a winner. His dam, by champion Jet Master, is a half-sister to a
stakes placed runner, and this is the great Sister Sublime family, which has produced
numerous champions.
CARPOCRATES
He is one of the best bred sires in the world, being by champion sire Storm Cat out of the
great mare Spain. From just a few runners, Carpocrates has already produced a number of
winners.
Lot 144 is a half-brother to a winner. His dam is a half-sister to a G1 filly, and this is the
family of Broodmare of the Year, Loyal Linda and numerous G1 winners.
CASINO PRINCE
Casino Prince is a G1 winning son of champion sire Flying Spur. He was leading first crop
sire in Australia last season, and is the sire of the top-class colt, All Too Hard.
Lot 121 is a colt from one of the best families in the stud book. Granddam is the SW mare
Lady’s Delight, and this is the family of legendary sires Northern Dancer and Danehill, and
too many champions to count. The colt is closely inbred to the great broodmare, Spring
Adieu.
DANEHILL DANCER
One of the world’s leading sires, Danehill Dancer has sired a stream of G1 winners
throughout the world. Sire of champions like Choisir, Dancing Rain and Mastercraftsman,
Danehill Dancer is one of the very finest of Danehill’s top sire sons.
Lot 46 is a half-brother to a winner. His dam is a half-sister to US G1 winner Price Tag (by a
Danehill horse), so the yearling is a three parts brother to Price Tag. This is also the family of
young SA sire Main Aim.
Lot 176 is a full brother to the top-class filly, Queen Mira. His dam is an own sister to G1
winner Alberto Giacometti, and his fourth dam is champion Attica Meli.
DYLAN THOMAS
Dylan Thomas was one of the finest racehorses of the past 20 years, with his 6 G1 triumphs
including the Prix de’l Arc de Triomphe. He has made a promising start to his stud career in
Ireland, producing a number of black type winners in his first crop.
Lot 146 is a half-sister to two winners. Her dam is a half-sister to a G1 placed stakes
winners, and this is the family of G1 winners Northern Treasure, Only Royale and Oscar
Schindler.
DYNASTY
Former Horse of the Year is now one of the country’s most sought after sires. His son
Jackson is one of the leading fancies for the 2013 J&B Met, and Dynasty’s legacy continues
to soar.
Lot 5 is a full brother to G1 Gold Cup winner Ancestral Fore, who was exported to Dubai.
His dam is a half-sister to former Cape Nursery winner, Sectional Title.
Lot 131 is a Dynasty filly, like the top racemare Beach Beauty. She is a half-sister to a four
time winner. This is the family of champion sprinter, Flashthecash.
ENCOSTA DE LAGO
A multiple champion sire in Australia, Encosta de Lago’s top SA performers include Dan de
Lago, Merlene de Lago and champion Delago De Luxe. He has sired 19 G1 winners in
Australia to date and is one of the best sires in the Southern Hemisphere.
Lot 79 is a full brother to a stakes placed winner of three. His dam is a full-sister to G1
winner Excellerator, and a half-sister to G1 winner Artistic.
EYEOFTHETIGER
He was an ill-fated champion, who beat numerous G1 winners when winning the Vodacom
Durban July as a 3yo. Eyeofthetiger has been represented by numerous useful winners to
date.
Lot 41 is a colt out of a mare by Silvano. She is a half-sister to the G2 placed winner of six,
Real Red. This colt is inbred to the Triple Crown winner and leading sire, Nijinsky II.
FASTNET ROCK
A G1 winning son of Danehill, Fastnet Rock was champion sire in Australia in 2011-2012.
His countless G1 winners include champion Atlantic Jewel, Mosheen, Foxwedge, Planet
Rock and Rock ‘n Pop.
Lot 88 is a half-brother to 4 winners, including the G1 Derby Italiano hero Morshdi. His
second dam is champion sprinter Habibti, and this is the famous Eight Carat family,
responsible for numerous champions. This is the famous Danehill/Sadler’s Wells nick.
FLYING SPUR
Winner of the G1 Golden Spur, Flying Spur has been of Danehill’s most consistent sire sons.
A champion sire in Australia, Flying Spur has sired over 80 stakes winners including 11 G1
winners.
Lot 119 is a colt out of a half-sister to a G3 placed stakes winner (by Flying Spur). This is the
family of SA G1 winner Sydney’s Dream (herself dam of successful Australian sire, Charge
Forward).
Lot 154 is a full brother to the Australian G2 winner Vintedge. The colt is also a half-brother
to a stakes winner of seven, and his dam is a sister to G1 winner and sire Racer’s Edge.
FORT WOOD
Fort Wood is one of South Africa’s greatest sires. He has sired 14 G1 winners, including
champions Horse Chestnut, Dynasty and Celtic Grove. Fort Wood is also sire of brilliant filly,
Ilha Bela.
Lot 50 is a colt out of SA Oaks winner Logetta. He is a half-brother to a G3 stakes placed
winner of three, and is from the family of champion Via Sixtina.
HENRYTHENAVIGATOR
A superb racehorse, Henrythenavigator won 4 G1 races in a row, including the 2000
Guineas. He has made a brilliant start at stud, with his first crop of 2yos including the G1
winner Pedro The Great.
Lot 188 is a half-brother to two winners, one of whom won four. This is the family of
champion filly Ruby Clipper (herself dam of promising young sire Seventh Rock).
HORSE CHESTNUT
Horse Chestnut was arguably the greatest horse ever bred in South Africa. The last horse to
win the SA Triple Crown, he is a proven G1 sire in the US, where he has produced
numerous stakes performers.
Lot 69 is a half-brother to five winners, including G2 winner Fair Brutus. His dam is a three
time winning ¾ sister to G1 winner Grand Format and G2 winner National Dance.
HUSSONET
A multiple champion sire in Chile, Hussonet has also done extremely well in Australia, where
he sired Horse of the Year Weekend Hussler. To date, Hussonet has produced no fewer
than 28 G1 winners!
Lot 184 is a half brother to two winners, one of whom has won four times. His dam is a
Danehill half-sister to G1 winner and sire, Jetball as well as the G3 winner of five, and fellow
sire, Marwina.
JAY PEG
South Africa’s all time money earner, Jay Peg was a superb racehorse. Winner of both the
Cape Guineas and Derby, Jay Peg went on to win two of the world’s great races, the G1
Dubai Duty and G1 Singapore Cup. This is his first crop.
Lot 3 is a half-sister to a winner. She is out of a mare by the great Jet Master, and is from
the family of Equus Champion, Aslan.
Lot 23 is a half-brother to the G3 placed dual winner, Jannu. From a top US family, which
includes champion Smart Angle, this colt is closely inbred to the great mare, Weekend
Surprise.
Lot 40 is a filly out of an own sister to G2 winner, and July runner up, Superwood. This is the
great Soho Secret family, responsible for champions Kings Gambit, Pluck, London News
and Promisefrommyheart.
JET MASTER
Sadly now deceased, Jet Master was the greatest stallion ever bred in SA. The sire has
headed the sires log for six years in a row, and has sired such greats as Pocket Power,
River Jetez, J J The Jet Plane and Ebony Flyer.
Lot 31 is a half-brother to G1 winner Ivory Trail. His dam is a stakes placed own sister to
stakes winner La Brea Pits, and this is the world famous Best in Show family. The only Jet
Master colt on sale.
Lot 47 is an own sister to the top class Singapore performer, Lizarre, who ran second in the
Singapore Gold Cup, and a full sister to the top-class local galloper Lake Arthur. The dam is
an own sister to G1 winner Talahatchie.
JUDPOT
A blue blooded horse, Judpot is by the great sire, and sire of sires, A P Indy. Out of
champion racemare, and dual Breeders Cup Mile winner, Miesque, Judpot is a half-brother
to top international sire, Kingmambo. This is his first crop.
Lot 16 is a filly out of a mare by emerging broodmare sire Western Winter. Her second dam
is G1 winner Duchess Daba. This filly is inbred to champions Secretariat and Buckpasser.
KAHAL
Kahal is one of the country’s top sires. Not only is he a very good sire, but Kahal has sired
G1 winners from 1000m (Noble Heir) to 3200 (Desert Links). He consistently produces
stakes winners year in and year out.
Lot 7 is a colt out of a five time winning Fort Wood mare. This is a top-class family which
includes such stakes winners as Sweet Sanette, Franny and Scented Royal.
Lot 11 is a filly out of a winning mare by champion US sire, Cozzene. This is the family of
numerous international stakes performers including top US filly, Vision In Gold.
Lot 14 is a colt whose dam is a winning half-sister to Guineas winner Marlin Bay. This colt is
bred to be fast, as his dam is by top speed sire, Goldkeeper.

Maroof’s Grace, a winning daughter of champion miler, Maroof.

A champion at two, Kildonan was a record breaking G1 winner at three, holding his own

LAKE CONISTON
A former champion sprinter, Lake Coniston is sire of champions Continent and Kapiston. He
is also broodmare sire of classic winner Mi Emma.
Lot 29 is a filly out of a half-sister to the G1 performer, Midnight Serenade. Her dam is by
Fard, so this filly is bred to fly.
Lot 147 is an own sister to two winners, of whom has won three. Her dam was a stakes
placed winner of five, and this is the family of champion sprinter Flirting Around.
MELLIFONT
A close relation of champion sires Sadler’s Wells and Nureyev, Mellifont is a proven sire of
such smart performers as G1 winner Floydeboy.
Lot 78 is a colt whose dam is a half-sister to five winners. This is the family of champion
Vesta and top class stakes winners as Roman Fantas, Roman Charger as well as recent
