Pity, I liked this card. Was a weakish front that passed through Cape Town yesterday... cannot believe it can trouble Arlington that much ???

As it stands racing is on.
There was 18mm rain last night and another 18mm this morning but I called the course and they racing.
Lets hope nothing changes.

Gav Smith Racing: 2,3,4,11 x 1,3,6 x 2,6,8 x 3,4,8 x 1,5,8 x 1,2,7 x 8,13
Paddock Racing: 2,3 x 1,3 x 1,5,6 x 1,3 x 1,5 x 1,7 x 5,8,13
Raining in PE at the moment, with an easterly wind (tail wind),
but hopefully will clear up soon.

On the strength of her last run Guided Arrow in the 5th looks very hard to oppose, she went down a diminishing short head in her last start and ran the race in the same time as the earlier colts race that Sedge won,she also beat subsequent duel winner Oh So Easy in that race and was very heavily backed (14/1 into 33/10) so has obvious ability..
Give everything but up!

Pity............I was going to take a small % of a very large PA.............I thought it had the potential to be one of the largest dividends of the year.

Port Elizabeth has had the wettest winter since records started, and fortunately
only a few race meetings were lost. The water table is very high, so the slightest
shower is a problem. Sometimes you simply cannot beat the weather, and although
it seems to be clearing in PE now, the damage was already done.
It is most unusual to lose an Arlington meeting to rain, as the track is built on a
sand dune, and has outstanding drainage.
