Elvis lay off that JWB out there at Crystal Springs - I'm sure you meant 'Tiza' was the favourite (or is it favorite - never quite sure) ;)

lets not forget he suffered a family tragedy this year?

Scottsville will prob be a memorable track, considering he won a grade1 there.
However, his best rides were for trainer Matchett.

yip agra, that was me, (a brown leather jacket ) i was the only owner there, plut trainer matchett, & the breeder who was from natal. Baby Elvis was having her 1st ever race ride, & we made the trek to Scottsville, because of her & the fact we were in a Gr 1 race. Elvis - let's rock"n roll nickname - wasn't given much chance by the tipsters, but at 40 or 50 /1 i just had to have a nibble.

i recalled before the race that Robert Bloomberg ? Broomberg ? had predicted a few months back that Lets rock n roll would win a Gr 1 soon
thank God i remembered his article, & had a wee punt at 50's
