So we had 2 on course presenters last night, surely one of them could of made an effort to interview De Kock pre races... how hard is that?... And secondly the likes of Milner and co need to get off there arses and go do some ''investigating journalism'' on the well being of stables horses BEFORE they write there crappy articles on tab website. I can think of no better job than visiting a stable early morning to speak to the trainers, or if you too lazy just pick up a phone and communicate with the trainers... Geewiz this is not rocket science stuff!!!
This subject has been brought up at least 10 times on ABC without any action from the so called experts so I guess nothing will be done unfortunately.

racenet.com.au is a site well worth looking at to see the vast difference between the attitude of our journos to the ones in oz...

I agree that the presenters are not doing what WE expect of them - but maybe they are doing their jobs as is required by TT - is there any merit in trying to put our suggestions together and forward these to TT management in a more 'formal' manner - because it seems to me something more constructive needs to be done if this is EVER going to change ....
Regarding Ilha Bela - I think her MR is too high - and this is in a way backed up by Kalami's run in that K should have beaten Louvre much easier if K ran to her rating - so imo the ratings based on the SA Oaks are too high. That being said, IB did not even run to her 'more realistic' rating - so obviously needed the run - and as suggested by many, imo the trainers's assessment of her readiness should have been made transparent to punters - by both the preview articles and the on-course presenters (ideally before the first leg of the excotics). Ironically, on a line through Wagner and Glorius Jet, Ilsanpietro also ran below his rating - but that may be because he is better over a longer trip.

They do read the site Frodo so they know what's up but there obviously is a plan that has not been researched. I wonder if Rutherford has ever run a TV station before?

But they are damn quick to say Julie is sitting out of the pre-race selections, cos she has gone to eat............you are paid to present, so freakin eat in the intervals between races...........and sit out to ask trainers on the well being of their horses.....NOT to go eat!!
PS - that denim jacket which Julie "bedazzled" herself was turning me on last night

Johann, I agree 100% if the other guys can do it why cant he? As the biggest import and biggest thing in SA horseracing why cant he post on his website?
For him to come after the race and say the horses were having a grass gallop is ridiculous!!!! (td)
Also not shifting the spotlight away from the presenters who are an absolute joke and the newspaper scribes who are involved in a photo finish with the presenters for their kuk service they provide. Amazing how the poers that be cant see all of this unfolding in front of them otr maybe they dont watch channel 239??

Hats of to the trainers that do post their chances on their website or facebook, there is definetly more money than people in this game so God bless you for not being selfish and trying to help the punters!
