Racing off today. Deciding what to do with the meeting as rain predicted through the next 4/5 days and 12 races during the week is not really feasable. F H, we will have to go to plan B/C if everything does not go through.

knowing the bad weather around kzn,couldnt the wise men in charge rather hv moved the turffies or cape meeting to sunday so as not to lose a local sunday meeting?
anyway i guess it doesnt matter now and at least there is some good football matches on incl the merseyside derby and the clash of the titans at stamford bridge.go man utd.

It seems that the first all weather tracks were built in 1988/9 in the UK and USA yet in a SA with the terrible Summer rains we have NONE.

Mr H, the mind boggles to think that there are people against the building of an allweather track at Greyville. Most if not all these meetings could have been changed to there and the racemeeting could have gone ahead. Some races would have had to have some horses scratched but at least others could have raced. F H there are other plans for if the divorce is not allowed.

there would be no sense in an all weather track in south africa, because even if it only drizzles, they will postpone the meeting, sand or not.

i just wanted to say, they always cancel racing in south african, when it rains a bit, has nothing to do with the track. they just fear the rain, i suppose.
