It has indeed Agra, and it was an R10k claim but it didn't half in price... I really don't get how the bookies justify the change in odds 8-) It was also apparently reported as not striding out last time. Just not convinced.

Absolutely Greg, we were only saying the other week that he was placing a lot without winners but he now seems to have taken the extra step. Will also be interested to hear Dorrie's thoughts on Stunning Girl.

Was this always a 1000m race or has it been cut from 1200, I think Stunning G may be more suited to the longer sprint.

If I remember correctly, Kaitie Em was carded to run some 4 weeks ago. There was a claim at about 11h00, but someone knew it would be scratched at the start. It opened a debate about the deductions and indiscretions of trainiers, etc. So why not back it tomorrow?

What would be the point of claiming and scratching Haupie, or am I missing something? And whyy would you then back it tomorrow? I don't follow the logic train... :) (which is probably partly why I'm a self-confessed idiot :) )

It is one of those inexplicable anomalies of life. When the horse is claimed and scratched, I believe someone thought the horse had a chance. So why must I not give it a chance next time out. I dont have inside info, so I play what I like. Weird situations make interesting results. Call me crazy if you like, Englander8-)

Haupie, its very reasonable craziness but maybe it was a bookie claim, deliberately messing around the punters so they could hit bets with a big deduction later? Sure stranger things have happened.

Agra... what be it, pray tell...

The shorter the price of the scratched horse, the bigger the deduction on the winning bet. This is why horses that bolt from the start seem to get claimed almost every time in the knowledge it will probably get scratched.

I liked TRIZAS last run but the field is tough with many unknowns. Have a look at the replay and include this chap - 9/10 a place not bad.

The usual SMS PA's for today. Looks like 2 strong bankers.

Gav Smith Racing: 4,11 x 1,5 x 1,11,12 x 3,9,16 x 1 x 3 x 4,6,9

Paddock Racing: 11,12 x 1,5 x 1,7,11 x 3,6,9 x 1 x 3 x 5,6,10

Weather is fine with an easterly wind (tail wind).
