Invierno was very impressive in his mdn win on the sand 2 weeks ago and may still be ‘value’ at short odds.
Recently been looking at ways to play these ‘hotshots’ (despite my lifelong aversion to them) with some recent success, notably Pylon at the VS on Tuesday. The pick 3 on races 6,7+8 paid R282 whilst the double for races 7+8 was R92…this in effect means Pylon, the banker, paid over 2/1 in this pick 3 – not bad for a 4/10 hotshot.
Still will not banker Invierno, or any other ‘hotshot’ in the PA or P6, yet will do so in some P3's.

Thanks Happy Horseplayer, nice to see you back. (tu)
My worry with Invierno is that although he had excuses on debut did not perform well and he achieved his rating on Sand. I would like to see him confirm his win onto Turf first before taking a short price on him.

Easy for me it all depends on my budget, i have a relatively small monthly punting spend but made a some profit yesterday so splashing out a bit today. That pa of R580 is big for me, I normally only take percentages as well...
I seldom take a straight liner myself, but for a laugh this would be mine....

TOLD YOU my best bet COULDNT LOSE...... shows you how hectic the morning has been.
Sampson rides Indian Blitz
Frodo, me too confused....... but just the other night, Variometer won......both Anton AND Striker called for the ride on Jolly Pops...... I had to do a "hard sell" to get Anton on Variometer !
At home, though, Miss Cantona is working very well, better, I'd say than before her last run
But, Striker remains a legend, to me. Yip, me too confused.....

Big difference between Pylon and Invierno imo - Pylon had the form, Invierno still to prove he can be as effective ont he turf - he might well be - so for me I'm covering in the PA and banking him in a small P6
Imo, it's difficult to show a profit with a very large PA perm (even if you cover with a smaller 'favorites' one); even so today I will take my chances with the following:
1,4,5
1,4
1,4,10,14
4,6,8
7,10,11,12
1,3,4
2,8,15
and
5,14
1.2.4,13
10,14
7,8
4,7
1,3,4
2,8,13
Enjoy (tu)

for me Miss Cantona a racing certainty, her last run was an improvement. In only her 2nd start she got 4 lenghts closer to Azzies horse. this is a sprinter of note, not becuase my best mate owns her but because imvho her form is solid
