How often do we get to see the champion trainer/jockey not have a winner on a big day in SA racing ??? They're human after all, I'm pretty sure they'll be back asap.

They will be back but once again just proves my point that some still doubt. Not even the 2 champions can do anything with a horse if it does not have the ability or is not right. The horse is paramount. Joey had had 3 winners so far this season(win % of 7 when I last looked) but give him the right horse and look what happens. 2nd time as well. Well done Joey. A really nice guy.

Tbh i don`t think his squad on the day were upto it to be true, the only one that really dissapointed was Mujaarib...

Merhee ran well on the wrong side of the track...
Ilsanpeitro ran probably his best ever race
Amur Affair ran above herself

Let's not read too much into yesterdy's performances by both champs. MDK definitely has bigger fish to fry in Dubai and he is too good a trainer to not bounce back.

We will be singing his praises come Dubai season and Anton definitely on the way to a Queens Plate win?

MdK /Marcus and others at the top of the food chain, have a few of these odd days a year ....................its lifes way of reminding them how the bottom feeders feel everyday, and reminds them to keep doing all the important things that ensure they remain "lucky" B)-
