I wonder when everyone that is still crying over the sale of Clairwood will sit back and realise it is GONE. The money is in the bank. Nothing can be done and so you may as well get over it and move forward. Nothing you can say here is going to change anything. The board was voted on by the members so dont blame them. Everyone knew who they were and what they had done and still voted them on. They had the support of the "old guard" who include some very intelligent people. Of the total who voted I hear only about 20 did not vote for Steve S and 28 or so did not vote for Neil B. If that is not a vote of confidence in them by the members then I dont know what is. We have some posters who are pi.sed off because the guys they wanted on the board all withdrew/not voted on and are just looking to stir sh1t!

Good morning Craig, keep taking the tablets lol
Sadly there is much politics in racing but I guess that is also true in all walks of life.
Just make sure it's not raining on boxing day

firstly craig the fact that you train for mr butcher i dont expect you to be critical of the board...secondly the structure of gold circle cannot work in the 21st century it is not a bowling or tennis club with members it is a billion rand industry so this members story who vote is way outdated and this was said by marcus jooste in an interview with julie alexander years ago...this board and its decisions its taken so far will destroy racing in this province in years to come and to think that the money you got from clairwood will be there forever is foolish and then when its gone the next asset will be sold...first it was the share in bettingworld next clairwood and next?summerveld or ashburton....in any other company heads would have rolled but in the antiquated gold circle club nothing happens....like i said previously in 50 years time it will be a case study at university ...im entitled to my opinion so will carry on as i like

Pirates, you can have your opinion and whether you are right or wrong will be seen in the future. I believe things here will really come right in the future and I am going to support the Directors that we voted onto the board. My opinion and also sticking with it.

I have heard of a "mountian been made out of a molehill" but now we have a mountain been made out of a subway?
We will be fine. Just give it a chance like we gave Clairwood when it was not right. Other tracks took up the Clairwood slack and now they can reciprocate. Looking at the photo's they are not too far off. Just give it all the time it needs. Scottsville and Enos nearly ready.

mr eudey it was the same board who were in power when the clairwood track was in a shocking state so what exactly is your point?
