You are 100% correct Mr H he thought he had it won the difference with Felix and the rest he rides them to the line.

I can go into my HB statement and post my bets here..... I was balls to the wall Stravinsky (go check my Hollybucks as well) so am NOT talking entirely from my pocket... but as regards running second this was a distinct possibility as the last 50m's when Striker pushed him out with the hands he responded to stay with the eventual second horse. this is from memory as I tried to watch that replay and it keeps stopping after 300m's
... if receiving the usual Striker vigorous finish when trying to win I believe he would have finished second. You will not change my mind on that... and that is okay cos it is MY opinion

I really don't think you can use Dis as the line horse, with his breathing issues he has not run two races alike, but I agree that Pierre is not at fault for that particular ride - imo Tobit barely gets 1000, so 1160 on a wet track was always going to be a push

Striker, the most BALANCED jockey most proabably in the world,i woul say even better than Douglas White,he knows when to pull the trigger or not and most importantly hes out of bullets,in Tobbits case it was the latter.

He obviously has run two races alike as he ran 5lgths behind Tobit and then 6 lgths 3 months later over similar trips regardless of his breathing issues.

Not to labor the point, but in his first run, Dis showed not discomfort (breating normally), after his run on Tuesday evening he sounded like the Banana Express, so the fact that he ran consistently behind Tobit is probably co-incidental imo

Striker is in a master class of his own when he is in the mood which seems to be quite often these days.

I remember a guy telling me he would not win the title this year- do you know him perhaps?

Every year around this time people are talking about Striker winning the championship because he's at the top riding winners day in day out, once the KZN season kicks in Marcus totally cleans up....it will happen again
