On Sat in a winning interview on Tellytrack (the 2nd winner I think) he acknowledged that his stable had been off form. Something like that his stable had been injected with that vaccine stuff.

Why with all due respect, can the trainers not tell us about this ? :X

Just another thing with racing i guess, why, if there is a serious problem with numerous horses from a stable, for instance Justin had to get every horse checked, can the punting public not be notified of this? If one does not own horses in a stable, one would not know of any AHS shots, viruses etc in the stable...how many times do stables' favs get rolled and rolled, only for one surprise winner and the trainer tells us its because of a virus...if we had known from the start, if we had our selections boil down to 2 runners, we could easily disregard one.
It has become clear that when horses take these shots they are not 100% for a good few weeks, i'm sorry, but i think something needs to be done about this. For instance, when a horse gets gelded, it shows in the formbook on which day it was gelded, so it should be when a horse takes a shot to prevent/cure a sickness, this is reflected in a computerform next time out, so the punter has a choice whether to back the horse or not, based on the information.
I have a simple equation for P and GC...its as simple as this:
Transparency=Revenue
And by transparency, i mean every part of it...the more information you give to punters, the more you show why you are doing certain things, the more you show how you are putting steps in place to have fair decisions across the country, the more you ask for the punters opinion and advice in solving problems...the more the above and other points i have not mentioned get addressed, will be the day i become a P shareholder.
The question i cannot seem to answer after all of these years;
Non-executive directors:
Mangalani Peter Malungani- Director Investec
Rob Cooper-
Markus Johannes Jooste- Markus Jooste is the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Hemisphere Operations of Steinhoff International Limited. He holds Directorships in various companies.
Bernard Kantor- COO Investec
Siza Khang Cecil Khampepe- Board of numerous companies
Nolwandle Jacqueline Mboweni
Dr Elijah Nkosi- On board of a few medical businesses
Chris van Niekerk- CEO PG Bison Holdings
John Barry Walters- Walters was extensively involved in negotiations with Government to bring about corporatisation of the horseracing industry and is an owner and breeder.
With the few names mentioned above, the question i ask is, WHY have the likes of Jooste, Kantor, Van Niekerk etc been SO successful in building and/or running such huge businesses that deal with hands on clients (Steinhoff-Retail...Investec- Investment/Commecial Bank), that actually look after their clients!!!...BUT cannot be influential enough to actually get this industry going forward for the best of the INDUSTRY.
But then i raise the question: Is this not a true case of conflict of interest? Where does one draw the line between personal horseracing benefit, and benefit as a member on the board of P to the actual racing industry?
