I think Half Moon Hotel is just below the best three-year-olds in CPT - will go very close

the cape jockeys really cannot think out of the box - how can they all try to get a run on that outside rail - very very poor

frustrating...the going is obviously far superior...that it over-rides common sense....(not enough space for the whole field)
What disappoints me is that when they try and switch, it's too late...

Actually they are thinking out of the box.
How else do you think these kind of results and payouts can materialise.
All it takes for payouts to soar, is one or two out of form runners to win, in a race or two, where the 1st two or three favorites are expected to win.
Question is what happened to the form runners. Never delved into, or pursued.
Further question is why did the the form runners not run to form.
Probably a number of reasons and explanations, some true, some questionable, but accepted as been the reason, until proven wrong, which is beyond the scope of thinking of the bread and butter punter, and difficult to prove.
Think Lance Amstrong

Well played mate. I caught the p6... but my useless punting strategies only helped me catch 2% of it. Would have caught 50% if i had gone with my top 2 selections from the 1st leg instaed of bankering lammy. Needless to say i am drowning my sorrows.

The false rail has been very wide ( about 6-7m) for the last couple of weeks to protect the track around the turn in the run up to the met. The horses are thrown out wide coming round the bend hence the move to the outside. On Met day will most likely be a different story.
