Matter of interest when a horse scratches do trainers need to give a reason why or can they just scratch?

Have to give a reason and unless scratched/reinstated on a vets certificate or have stipes permission you get a 12 day suspension.

Race 5 – Great Rumpus tries the trip for the 1st time but good last run suggests that he might like it...Quick Glance , 2 good runs over 1600m at clairwood so far is the obvious danger...Giuliani with Marcus on board should also make a bold bid....don’t ignore Safee from the de kock stable and maybe also include Western lord who could improve more if you want an upset or trying to beat the favourites
Race 6- Cherry tripper went down a short head to festival of fire 4 runs back and looks like the live wire here....also Via Africa ran a good second to the sprint king yesterday so the form-line speaks leaps and bounds....If you looking to beat the favourite then it maybe you can consider including any of the following....Jagerbomb/Bwana Macube/Mr Mickey mouse/Punta del este/Auto pilot/Cool spender/Threshold and Purrrveyor.
Race 7 – Solveig says is my first choice and should make a bold bid with delpech on board....Prairy star could appreciate the step down in trip but also has a good draw.....Dirty dealing mama back to a more suitable trip...Faire Silvano ran a good race last time and can go in here....You cannot ignore wooden gold as well who beat Fair silvano 2 runs back...Paxmax could surprise and lastly Euterpe with Marcus aboard ...but I do think that this will be tough for her.
Race 8 – one of these can win....Shimmering Jet...good last win over further and is very pacy over 1600m as well....Red book has very good 1600m form......Orange Blossom so far in and out sort...let’s see race time....Misty morn down in trip and top jockey on board should go close.....lastly have a look at Wynnholmes star’s last run and see if you would like to include for perms etc.
