Gerrit Basson is now in CT working as a builder/maintanance guy . Dean Russel was in Macau , not sure if he is still there though.
Heard Craig Benton got the top job in Hong Kong teaching the new apprentices.

We saw Gerrit Viljoen with his folks in Kmb a few months ago on the anniversary of his fall. He looked well and was very happy to be at the races.

thanks Flaming rock.I guess sometimes partnerships with jockeys make a trainer.If you look at Basson/Lowe,Vorster/Lowe and Khan/Woodruff the results combined with good horses showed how probably brilliant they were at their peak.Im a huge fan Terry Lowe and would wish that he gets another Group horse and would like to see the dominance of Woodruff again.

Just remembered another jock that rode for Jean Heming - Gerrie Visser. Also rode for Richard Stranger. What happened to Andre Viviers, Nick Viviers & Lenny Rowe?

Once went to a casual bush meeting in Swaziland where Gerie Visser rode - oh what a day the meeting was run by Gerald Sadleir all I can say was lots of fun and games. Haven't heard of Visser again.
