Some confusion for me. Why in race 5, pick 6 leg 2, have the number 2 and 3 horses (both scratched) been added to the winning pick 6 numbers. The favourite did not win, only a coupling of the favourite. Surely the fav must have won for the scratchings to be added, not any horse in the winning coupling?

Vis, the tickets go onto the favorite who qualifies for the Pick 6 due to the coupling and therefore the scratched horses also count as the favorite qualified.

Thanks Shrek, I thought the scratchings went onto only the fav, but favourite in the pick 6 is defined differently, new for me:

5.10.6.3. In Pick 6 betting, if a horse in a bracket is thetotalisatorfavourite, as
determined in Rule 1.27, all the horses within the bracket shall be deemed to be the
totalisatorfavourite for the purpose of determining the substitution, in the event of a
scratching.

i think this rule clarifies this (td)ambiguous rule
5.10.6.3 In Pick 6 betting, if a horse in a bracket is the tote favourite, as determined in Rule 1.25, all the horses within the bracket shall be deemed to be the tote favourite for the purpose of determining the substitution, in the event of a scratching.
