@Bad Co:
'I'm also waiting the outcome, I remember mike de kock assaulting anil maharaj at greyville and was only fined so let's see how this one goes'
And ...
* Anil Maharaj got banned for 5 years or so for assaulting someone at a July meeting- there was no criminal charge or court case;
* Mike Bass paid an admission of guilt fine for alleged assault of S Chimoto (who's been in the news recently). He was initially fined R20 000 by the NHA, then waived;
* Colour holders from Gauteng were allegedly involved in fisticuffs at a Met meeting in Cape Town... nothing came of it;
The last one, I wont include as it's to do with r..... overtones between a jockey and trainer.
Different strokes for different people?
If so, then surely the NHA brings the industry into disrepute by its inconsistency?

Only in the racing industry do ppl feel sorry for the perpetrators of crime,bottom line is that chippy resorted to violence because he felt he was being disrespected,he committed a criminal offence,whatever punishment he and muzi get is deserved

Thats my feeling as well.
Is it the authorities themselves that bring the game into disrepute.
Same as in cricket and soccer where blatant errors by refs and umpires go virtually unpunished..........but the players and management dare not challenge or utter anything.
They will be fined ,banned or both.
The authorities are ALWAYS right. They are the law.

And rugby...look what Lawrence did to SA in the world cup. We need Piet Van Zyl's to sort it out.
