Thanks for all replies guys,reason I want a horse in Cape Town and not Ireland us that its very expensive here for trainer fees ect,and it also gives me a reason to travel back home alot more.i know the risks of racing and understand I could spend lots and the horse turns out to be a donkey,but I'm more in it for the love of the sport than to make money,but saying that it would be nice if it was a good horse that could win and go to stud afterwards:)
Once I am ready to buy I'm confident I can get pointed in the right direction by some of cape towns top trainers as a few of them would have known my grandfather who used to train out of milnerton along time ago(not going to mention names
)
If all goes well I'd also be looking at buying one here later in the yr at the sales
Once again thanks for all ur input lads

I think Frankel is taking the mickey out of the ABC die harders.
Cost training grandfather trainer cost to buy etc etc.
i sugest we sell him Miss D and Bud Boy
Buy Shares in those 2 frankel and we can arrange to be trained in Cape Town also will arrange a yearling with them 2 as well.
3 horses 300 k
good deal
lol

Firstly I've got more important things to be doing than taking the "mickey" out of people.i was looking for genuine info from people!
To those that have replied via here or private messages thank you.
If I wanted to buy a horse here I'd know everything I'd need to with regards to trainers fees and costs but I'm not looking to buy here but rather in CT.
Thanks

I train in Durban and have had a license for 38 years. I know all the trainers in Cape Town and would be willing to help. The fees should be in the region of R7500 per month excl vet fees. Contact me at jamesgoodmanracing@gmail.com
