after backing fradd r1 and r2 i gave up on local racing for today, but at least thx to mr fradd i now know his mounts had no chance because of the track bias.very valuable info for punters by mr fradd and he deserves a medal for informing the poor punters of the state of the track and hopefully saving them some money or making them money by listening and taking his advice abt the track.

Odendaal came on after the last race at the vaal the other day covered in mud and also said the vaal track is shit and is unfair to jockeys and punters

Bunch of clowns!!! But also let's remember it was Gold Circle who jumped on the bus for Mr Brugman!! Let's see if P and the merry men jump on Robbie. I doubt it . Whatever but it is laughable. So ththe jock tells the truth and a racing manager tells the truth and the incompetent officials all fall over themselves trying to justify their actions. Fact is fact - but it seema only for those who want to believe ! The punters ??? What do we know???

Ok Craig you may be right but it still remains an opinion by Derick and Robbie - the knee jerk reaction by Gold Circle and then the silence is interesting . I'm not going to judge which racecourse is better cause I have no clue ! But the guys that should know - like jocks trainers and managers also speak their minds. Let's just see what the reaction is . I'm just the poor punter who has no clue as to where the good going is and where I should or shouldn't punt. Just my opinion!

Let me and you have a couple of that russiese mampoere until last race next time at the vaal , and if everything won on the inside throughout the day ,then we punt that outsider that is drawn best and if it loses I will be in any case be too pissed to care :S
date?

Derek Brugman went up in my estimation for criticising Scotsville. He went down a bit for apologising.
Why apologise. If that's what you think then stand by it.

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion but you must be able to substantiate it with facts when questioned about it.Farawaysaint, it shoud not be what you think, it must be what you know for sure if you are going to make derogatory statements about anything or anyone. Then no one can question what you said.

Firstly Blouperd sounds like a good idea buddy lets do it? Then to Craig - I agree bud but I would think Robbie would have some idea as you would and I respect that but it's just the reaction that is quite interesting .

I saw Derek in Cape Town and he was showing me an article written in response to one of my statements.I did some research when I got back and replied to him. Thats the way it should be. No problem. As I said to him the issue is behind us now and apology accepted so over it.I think the diference is one whole track was labled a goat track ,where as Robbie/MJ were stating where/how the track was running which if fine in my books. All runs at any course around the turn have a draw bias due to draw/false rail settings etc. Most if not all courses have a draw bias down the straight. Some are better down the inside and some up the outside. It also changes with rain and these factors have to be taken into acc when punting.

Don't forget to factor in the wind, tailwind, headwind, can make a difference I suppose. Milnerton in winter had a fabulous draw bias down the straight and all up the outside in soft going, and nobody complained all the years. The near bend also had a super bias for the low draws and don't forget how Jeff LLoyd won the Guineas on St.Johns Wood from the front showing a clean pair of hoooves.
Matter of interest Craig, how is the wind factor at Scottsville, I know it can get mighty hot weather-wise in summer and the sun beats down with no respite.!

Scottsville definitely a lot hotter in summer than the coast. Very seldom does the wind get as strong as Clairwood though. As I drive into Clairwood I look at the smoke/steam stacks in the west and often the smoke/steam is parallel to the ground!
