Cant wait for Saturday. Some top class clashes on the card. Personally, I think Ihla Bella is a good thing

WAW lucky the last time... crazy talk. Only thing that could stop him will be the travel and the often below average performance of Cape raiders to the Highveld. English Gatden and Thunder Dance have done well in recent times but there are way too many horses travelling up from the Cape who just flop on the day. Red Ray looks special at this point but once again the whole travelling ordeal and change to Highveld conditions has knocked the puff out of many a Cape raider as they negotiate the Turffontein run in.

Cherry on the Top is trading at 0.14 in some places, bookies playing it very safe it would seem. IMO 650 extra metres is a long way to go and it will be worth taking her on at that price. She may well stay every last metre and then some but it will be a much closer finish this time even if she does stay. I did however state the same about CTN before the the Derby when backing Dynamic and was made to look silly when CTN kicked again inside the final 100m. Will be looking to Jet Belle and Do You Remember to cause the upset with many of the others looking forlorn besides perhaps Fire Wheel with a return to form.

I think Red Ray is a good thing .
Contemplating taking another bet with Red Ray and VA 4.3/1 not bad I guess.
BTW
the Highveld air will ALSO affect VA

Really fantastic fields, It's been some time since I've seen quality fields as such. Ramsden's comments on Red Ray are interesting and should take much beating. 7/10 is rather kindly offered. WAW proven sprinter surely and Sharp Design keeps finding more and more with each run but personally it will be a very tough task for any horse to challenge Via Africa. I really can't see why VA won't cross the line 1st whereas I can with all the other runners.
