Hell shrek, I have my doubts whether he gets a true run 1400 - I know he won last time over 1450, but that was in a 6 horse field, so the pace MIGHT have been slowish, also Lake Arthur beat him last year (also in May) over this trip and has the one draw - at 25/1 vs 11/2, I prefer LA :S

I think its a bit too early to label Vercingetorix a new superstar, considering he is only a Graduation winner to date. Today will be a strong test taking on the best 3 year old colt in the country over what must be CTN's best distance (thus far). If Vercingetorix runs second, then he's coming along the right way, don't think he'll win it. There are a few smart sorts that are up in Joburg (Yorker & Tellina) and hopefully Ramsden brings King Of Pain to Durb's, the Daily News is going to be a cracker. Let's see where we at about 15.20 with Vercingetorix.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Run for Wally is one of the Hollywood triple header options - had already backed that at 14/10 as my best value at Greyville (tu)

Didn't quite think of it this way, but have gone with Captain's Secret on top and Lake Arthur as one of my backup selections in the pick six.

Haven't taken anything in quite some time but that carryover tempted me back. 8-)

I agree with you, bayern, V still very much an unknown quantity - winning his last start he beat Rock Cocktail receiving weight (and over a trip arguably short of RC's best), so for me at this stage RC the better horse
