I was 14 yrs old, as I remember it, in the first test we had a team consisting of a majority of WP players, and we lost; everybody complained and for the 2nd test they picked a team consisting mostly of N Tvl players - we lost by a wider margin than the first test, then for the 3rd test, they picked a team that had quite a lot of Free State players (I think Gerrie Sonnekus moved from scrum-half to 8th man, or the other way around :S) and we got hammered; then in the 4t test they finally settle on a more 'balanced' (in term of provinces) team and we played to that 13-13 draw at Ellis Park

Stand to be corrected though, but yes that Lions team was very good - JPR Williams a brilliant full-back

I am unfortunately too young to remember all of the above posts :-(

Please advise where is the last pic you posted (of a pool/beach) is this by any chance Durban Beachfront?
