I don't agree, at the weights I think there are plenty with chances and an upset certainly not out of the question - regarding the non-stayers, I'm also not too sure - only one that is very unlikely to getting the trip is Love Struck imo - especially as I don't see any real pace in the race

Mmmm.....not a question of pace...I see both Marcus and Strydom getting up early then slowing it down giving the no hopers plodders and range bound sorts all an equal chance of spoiling the result the exotics gonna be big....

Mr Millard snr always said a horse had to stay 2400m to win the July.

Good milers have won the July.....

Why will a horse not stay if it has won 2000m at Turfies? I dont agree with the non-stayers.....

This will be a mad scramble 400m to finish, lucky dip result.

.....yes when he had 3-5 runners in the field and those South American sorts that stayed all day.....July a different kettle fish since his day....
clowns have since let very mediocre horses into the race.....it is a disgrace......:(

5021 i see you on the right track, but i would not discount ctn for the july because of the 3 yr olds he is only 1 with a chance.imo he had 2 mediocre rides by honest karl in guineas and daily news, and i believe if they turn race into a sprint in the straight then he will win.
kzn trained horses i exclude (except gvz horses because like mdk he seems to also hv the magic touch,be it epol or something else)and of jhb horses im only weary of tarry runners because he often pops up with seemingly no-hope horses to win features.never mind somas plan for july with wagner i expect him to run in the last 3 with love struck joining him.lol.
