Firstly, thanks to all who joined the discussion about the favs. Without blowing my own trumpet it goes to show what a little bit of discussion on here can achieve. Before the discussion started, if you looked at the market then the two horses concerned were highly unlikely to get beaten but, neither won and certainly the vibe from the clanners was, don't get involved at those prices. I hope it helped some. Of course, they both could have won but that isn't the point. Well done to all who thought we were being led a merry dance by the bookies pricing
-D
Secondly, my patent... it just goes to show how strange this game can be. I actually was quite strong on all three of these, probably strongest on TT but that would have had something to do with value. All three ran very poorly. If you read my other posts you will see that I also mentioned that I liked the following...
R3 Caribbean Day (hence the OR (tu) post as we both mentioned this one in a PM about the price on the fav) WON
R7 Krackerjack Ace (mentioned to Shrek as the one I liked in that race when he suggested adding Wundabar) WON
R8 Bluroute (mentioned to Shrek as the one I would add to the above three for a yankee) WON
R9 Paxmax (I mentioned this one in my post as the only one I could see as possible value) WON
It is amazing to me that my three strongest run so badly and the ones I have little confidence in come home smokin' lol I don't think there is anything that can be read into it of course, but I do ask myself why is it that so often the ones we like strongly run so badly?

Thanks guys but my point wasn't really do with my success, more to do with how we can like other horses so much more and they run so badly. Not complaining obviously and I guess it just happens that way sometimes but tis just a little strange to me. Hardly the first time its happened like that either :S
Pirho... lol... I hope you found it but, maybe just trust me next time

E it might have something to do with perception but wouldn't be able to explain.
