I think that if you ran that Gold Cup field every week ,you would get a different result every time!

It is obviously a nightmare of a race - if one compares the weights to those from last year, I agree with Monty that Blake should at least be thereabouts and 12/1 not a bad price imo - also Sage Throne looks well in and his last run without the blinkers imo indicated that he is coming back to his best. And I also like a bit of Cantebury Tale, provided the going does not come up soft.

I see someone saying it's 10/1 the field, but on Hollywood there are 4 runners at smaller odds :S (and imo there's no great value about those 4)

A race for a small interest , love fields like this

shd be renamed the july hangover meeting ..feel for the connections of the 2yos that run at the same course over 14 on july day and then 16 on gold cup day with the draw being the major factor in both races...expect plenty upsets

I feel that a true run race takes too much out of a horse for repeat run within even 2 weeks....

Bob, having studied it a bit...and to give my 2 cents....
I feel that a Dynasty has a best chance of landing it....beside Kolkata, and maybe maybe Scoop the Pool.
Blake, Paddy O, Sage Throne are proven stayers, so I shall assume that Taipan will carry some of those genes....
If he is fit on the day and stays, which all indications point towards....then 25/1 is a great bet....(tu)(tu)
