He was hoping to ride but then realised that he would not be 100% so got off and gave it more time.

He rode the grade 1 winner soon before the July with the same injury.............perhaps he should not have ridden that one as it caused him more damage?
My thinking is that if he can ride 1 with the injury, surely he can ride more..........

I think that ride possibly aggravated the injury. I know he wanted to ride July day. Will be back in a few weeks.

he was also unfairly blamed for Blueridge Mountain's demise when she hang and was beaten on the line...seems a matter of damned if you do and damned if you don't

The filly was going the trip for the first time and she clearly imo did not go the distance, he placed and produced her perfectly and she hung under pressure, i firmly believe that the defeat had nothing to do with his injury, we seem to forget that its 500 Kg's vs 55 Kg's and not easy to keep a tiring horse on a str8 line with or without an injury...

clearly we watched different races. Looked to have seen out the trip perfectly to me. Jock takes an age to change whip from one hand to another. When finally does, BRM picks up again, and powers home. If kept straight, wouldve won. Lets not act as if he was riding a horse like Curin's Cousin here.
