Vaal Sand Monday 5/8/13

Gonna make some plays around Combat Cat in the first. I like the name, and his only sand run has a decent formline, even the horse running half a length in front of him has won since. Trainer's only runner. Crap draw. Looong odds. Called gambling after all.

Race 1 no. 10 in this field (if you can call it that)

My fancies today :

R1 Golden Dollar - third run after rest , first time sand but could like and good jockey

R2 Pylon

R3 Rolling Ruby - will love the extra 200m and further but probably won't be mentioned in commentary till late

R4 I don't think Velvet Verona suited to a 1200m sand at this stage so I'll go with Cookie Monster (Invierno also looks a nice sort)

R5 Shattered Image not that consistent but ran a relaxed race last time over cd under a big weight

oh dear as if posting after the race informing us that you have won is not bad enough but posting the winner 11 minutes after the race well now that takes the cake

race 8 number 7.

Race 2 : Even if Mr. Tobin grows wings, he has no chance against Pylon however on the flip side Tarry's other runner Dual Alliance with 54 on his back could challenge Pylon. I'm going to do something I never would and take a decent win return on Dual Alliance (tu)
