If anyone is able to get Lovestruck to win the July then they might also be able to walk on water

I disagree about all trainers being equal - It is like saying that if you have the same pen and paper as an author you can write a best seller - No body is equal in ability to anyone else in life and some people are better or worse than others at certain things - Training a horse is no different

"You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink"comes to mind, pass the Jwb !Laff is a dedicated horsemen with his team and a small string,he has many years in the field and as you all know horses can take a lot of peeps for a ride all at once.He also an amenable and charismatic with a tint of tilted humuor!Which is always welcome in this stressed out economic times,I wish him all the best for the future and hope to see his distractors eat humble pie!chow

Correct,I don't think anybody believes all trainers are equal and I can't find anyone posting that.
With the technology today also we have the more equipped trainers, better gallops, swimming pools, different feeds.
But the horse will only run as fast,if its fully fit wether it's trained by trainer A or trainer B.
Now some trainers idea of fitness may be different.
But if your getting superior horses to train you will always beat inferior ones.

I think Laff said the float was there to pick up Nisa's Love straight after it ran last week so I think a long time coming

There are plenty of successful owners who stick by their trainers - win, lose or draw.. Others taste success and then think they are bigger than the trainer. Trainers will be around long after the owners

The story on course, way before the race was run was that it did not matter where the horse ran it was leaving.

Yes I agree. Obviously some are better horseman, harder working or more forward thinking, better at understanding handicapping and placing their horses, better judges etc. At the end of the day though , no one can make a horse run faster than its natural ability. Yes, you can get it fitter and feeling better and sounder perhaps. There is an old saying " good horses, make good trainers ".
