Sylvester I wish "they" would bring out a stat or stat's: of money's spent on purchasing horses by trainers vs income earned by those trainers with those horses. I believe this will show up the HORSEMEN involved in training. I have a theory that the horsemen can and do perform above average. They rise above this "average" even though they don't always have the financial backing. The reason I ask this, is because quite a few trainers are good at PRO and not at being horsemen. I hope I am making sense ?? Thoughts ??

yes very good post. i say very many time the top boys do good but you no here of the "pick of sale" who cost million and no see the race course. when you have 200 horse well to me even the monkey can pick 20 that are ok. i no say the big boys are no good, i say we compare apple with coconut. when you look at result of small boys like stevie moffatt who get results from 10000-40000 horse you must ask is he worse than the big boys who get results but very seldom get even purchase price back. also the smaller trainer in general charge the lot less and let us no even talk about the vet bill

Hi Flash does it matter if a horse runs second as a four year old or has six runs as a three year old and then runs a place ? All of us can pick the good strapping horses some of us look for value I have no time to look at those stats so am uninformed but would rather my horses go to the race ready than finish in the also rans

rob the normal horse these day come to the yard after the sale or go to spelling farm. your horse is 4yo i presume he is buy as 2yo so let us for argument say he is in training 24 months. so lets us give you discount and say he cost 5k per month is make 120 000 before he run. so in natal he need to win 3 race quick to brak even no? if these is fun for you then i am happy it will no be fun for me. i no say you are wrong but to me i will not do it. if i want fun i go to the grand with 120k and f#ck evry east europe country girl i want :)-D
