Karis Teetan is continuing his good form. I nicked this off South China Morning Post (Wednesday):
Karis Teetan and Douglas Whyte keep punters happy at the Valley
Mauritian nips in to win two photo finishes, but champion reminds everyone he's still boss

Lightweight sensation Karis Teetan continued to endear himself to owners, trainers and punters with a double at Happy Valley last night, but Douglas Whyte reminded everyone who is king and produced a weight-watching double of his own to retain the early season lead in the jockeys' championship.
Teetan stole two victories by a short head and a nose with diving finishes, but Whyte hit back after each on a pair of David Ferraris-trained runners - for which he had wasted to get down to 117 pounds to ride.
"I'll enjoy my meal tonight," Whyte said as he returned to scale after winning the last with a desperate ride as he took inside runs on Chater Dream, and earlier having scored an easy win on Amazingly. After a treble at Sha Tin last Sunday, Whyte has seven winners from four meetings.
For Ferraris, the early-season double was a welcome relief after a disastrous 2012-13 where he had just 13 winners.
"The horses are all running well this season, and it doesn't take long for things to turn around in this place," he said. "We've changed a few things in the stable and I think it has made a difference."

Re: Re: Karis Teetan wins his very first race in HK
11 years 3 months agoThe Tony Millard-trained Super Lifeline (117lbs) hammered his rivals in the HKG3 Hong Kong Macau Trophy (Handicap) over 1400m at Sha Tin today, Saturday, 1 March.
Ridden by Karis Teetan, for whom this was the middle leg of a treble, the four-year-old Churchill Downs gelding broke well and was always handy in the first four behind a steady pace set by Macau raider Wonder Mossman. Teetan made his move as they turned for home and Super Lifeline galloped on strongly all the way to the line, taking the lead at the 300m and scoring comfortably by a length. Winning Leader (124lbs) ran on late to be second, with Destined For Glory (129lbs) in third, a further length and a half away.
"It's been a memorable day," said Millard who was completing a four-timer following earlier wins with Medic Kingdom, Penny Lane and Ambitious Champion. "This horse is unassuming, doesn't show anything and was very cheap - I bought him for A$26,000 in Melbourne - but he just keeps doing it on the track," he added. "We'll see how he is after this, but I'll just take it step by step with him and he won't run in the BMW Hong Kong Derby as the trip is too far. I'm really pleased for Eddy (owner Dr Eddy Fong) who was one of my first owners here and has been a great supporter over the years."
The HK$2 million Hong Kong Macau Trophy attracted six horses from Macau and eight from the local team, but the Hong Kong horses were in control at the end of the race.
A bonus of HK$500,000 is available for any horse that wins both inter-port races in the same season but it seems that prize will be left unwon as Millard said that Super Lifeline will not run in the Macau Hong Kong Trophy.
The HKG3 Hong Kong Macau Trophy is the first of two legs in the annual inter-port series and Hong Kong has now won nine of the 11 runnings of the race since its inception in 2004. The second leg, the Macau Hong Kong Trophy, will be held at Taipa Racecourse later this season.

Was looking to support Golden Sleep
Watching the race I couldn't believe how crap the jockey was...thought he must be the worlds worst ever but it turned out the saddle slipped 200m into the race and confirmed my thoughts that he could barely stay on
