Morning

3rd race You Go Boy. Stepping up in class but improving. Blinkers on to sharpen him up. Also watch for improvement from Syndicator.

Cheers

I AGREE WITH YOU. But the distance is my only concern

From TAB

Trevor Reid: A lot of attention will be focussed on the Pick 6 carryover at Arlington so I spoke to a number of trainers about which of their runners they prefer.

Justin Snaith: With the decision by the handicappers to raise the merit ratings of all horses except those based in the Eastern Cape, most of my intended raiders have a six-point (3kg) penalty which has made life harder for me – but I will continue to have a go.

In Race 3 I prefer My Jelly Bean to Forest Fighter but both could feature. Augusta National is well weighted and is the pick over Sunset Girl in Race 4, while in Race 6 I have On The Road, who is a one-time winner and must have a chance. He could find it hard to finish ahead of Alan Greeff-trained Way Clear. Princessjacqueline is holding form well and I expect her to go close in Race 8.

Gavin Smith: Pricy Asset is worth another chance and I like her prospects in Race 1. I suggest you ignore her last run as she found trouble on the bend. We have a number of runners in the Pick 6 but I think it’ll be difficult to catch. You Go Boy is my choice in Race 3, Secret Quest is my best in Race 4, National Executive in Race 5 and Khetha in Race 6. Ignore Victor Silvester’s run on Monday because he had no luck in running and he is my preference in Race 7. There is little to choose between Bella Aroma and Global Trade in Race 8.

Yvette Bremner: Iceonic returns from a layoff and may just need this run in Race 3. Tributary will probably be scratched because she is a reserve runner. Marry Me Mullins is the fitter of my two runners in Race 8.

Corne Spies: Lielums is probably the better of my two runners in Race 3 but is coming off a slight break.

Alan Greeff: Winter Fantasy is coming off a rest so may need the run and I am worried that as a newly turned three-year-old, she may find it tougher against the older horses – her age group have battled recently. So I give Sustain Space a chance in Race 4. I have a slight preference for Sacred Call over Silva Chant in Race 5. Dubois City in Race 8 is improving but this will be tougher for her.

Steven Janse van Rensburg: Forest Fashion may be best of my runners in Race 5. Mo’ Pepper is a bit unreliable but if he puts in his best effort, then he must have a chance in Race 7.

Mitch Wiese: Hadbaa has been retired and will not run in Race 5. My runner in this race, Rightly So, is battling. Camden Borough is my best on the day in Race 9. She is honest and must be included in Pick 6s.

Hekkie Strydom: Russian Mig is well and is preferred in Race 6 but he has a lot of weight to carry.

Grant Paddock: Lindeman Legacy has been disappointing and will be having his last run for me so I prefer Strike A Light in Race 7.

Jacques Strydom: Ming Warrior has an Eachway chance in Race 7 and is the pick of my runners.

Dorrie Sham: The Shark in Race 6 is probably my best runner on the day but this is not his favourite course. La Salle is my pick over Typhoon Tash in Race 8 but is would not surprise me if Typhoon Tash won.
