R4 - I think Stan Elley's horse, Cherry Breeze, is a runner in this race. At 16/1 it's worth an each way go, especially now that he thinks it is crying out for the 1400m.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

All I can say is consider the draws when making your selections. They are very important at Durbanville, more so than almost any other course in SA.

My runners today
Race 7 Waterfall and Race 8 King of the Deep. Both very competitive handicaps. Both have been a bit harshly treated by the handicapper after their wins and do not have the best of draws. May be a little short of fitness as with most Milnerton horses, but have both been working well recently. Both can run into the money.
A difficult card with so many first timers in the early races.
Arion looks like the only banker.

I also sort of automatically assumed this, but have a look at the stats over the 1400 - yes biased towards the inside draws, but draw 1 has won 7/78 and draw 9 has won 7/64 :
And over the 1000 draw 8 has won 8/30 :S
