Race 1: Catalina Blues a very skinny price although looks the one to beat. Cayenne has run two decent races and must be a real danger. Diski and Family Fortune had fair debuts when supported so should be respected. Looks like a nice trifecta/ quartet race especially if the favourite gets beat.
Race 2: I won't bet against a fancied de Kock first timer but I also won't bet blind on it.
Race 3: Badger Friendly hs been more friendly to bookies than to punters so not for me at this price. Dux looks good value at 6/1 with low weight if it stays the extra.
Race 4: Wimoweh had good juvenile form but has had 3 weaker runs this season. Not much between Ado Annie and Throne while Judstone could improve over the extra ground.
Race 5- 7 All tricky handicaps. Go wide.
Race 8: the 3yos Vino Veritas Chelsea and Lemonade River stand out as the older fillies and mares labour under their 6 point uplift.

The only two dangers in the third against Badgers friendly are filiies in the form of Dux and Fast jet. Today is the day Badgers Friendly will be more friendly to the Punters. Narowly beaten over 1900m. Todays 2400 more his game. Any suggestions out there?

I wouldn't write off the chances of Fairway Wood. Was drawn a lot wider that Badger Friendly last time they met, raced handy and may have run out of puff. That was a fair effort considering it wore blinkers for the first time, today it may not stop from a fair draw - just my opinion, don't let me put you off though.

Blardy hell, its like a favourite backer's paradise on here today
< Can see you also sitting round a pub table chortling about how this one will win by 5 lengths and that one by 8 etc etc
Ok Titch, you are an exception
Nobody like anything, or at least give a squeak to one that is not a little better than evens?
Anyway, here's ones I thought had chances/squeaks at better than evens
R1 11 Proverb and forming trifectas/quartets with 6 Diski 3 National Bounty 2 Cayenne 5 Daisy D'Ora (Mr H (tu) ) and for those of a nervous disposition, go on, throw in the blardy fav as well
R2 2 Brazo and forming trifectas/quartets with 13 Verdiccio 1 Pop Home 9 Millenimesta and for those of a nervous disposition, go on, throw in the blardy fav as well (PS who says its a good thing cos MDK has had a few good things lately drift badly just been the off)
R3 11 Fast Jet e/w, 10 Dux exacta 3 Picador trifecta and for quartets, for those of a nervous disposition, go on, throw in the blardy fav as well
R4 Titch? This is the one I did like the fav lol
R5 5 Burrwood, took 4s yesterday
R6 12 Sleek Jet and forming trifectas/quartets with 11 Iron Lady 13 Finding Neverland 7 Artistically Done and for those of a nervous disposition, go on, throw in the blardy fav as well
R7 4 Henchman e/w and much smaller 6 Radio Waves e/w
R8 13 Dancing Arrow small e/w. Like Lemonade but not discounting Vino Veritas or Chelsea
Very small idiot doubles and e/w trebles n up... R1 11 Proverb x R2 2 Brazo x R6 12 Sleek Jet x R7 6 Radio Waves x R8 13 Dancing Arrow
I can't say I am confident and I confess for all my big talk, I have done a lot of the more fancied ones in big accumulators but the above should at least add a little more "fun" to the day if not financial reward :S lol
For those with runners today, hope they all go well for you and there are no big disappointments (tu)
Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)
Were way too many emoticons lol, hence...

Badgers Friendly has the best form and is the only runner which has experience over the trip. However, he has to give 3.5kg to the two fillies and Dux also has the appie allowance. If either of the fillies stays the trip properly, at these weights they are rated to beat him.
I am surprised how reluctant trainers generally are to run fillies in these open maidens as their sex allowance is a significant benefit.

I've looked long at Fairway wood. The problem I see with him it seems to faded away to 4.75. Behind Bager friendly and I don't know if he will go the 2400m.

FW certainly bred to get the distance, like I said, the draw may have had something to do with him tiring last time out, we'll know at about 14h18 I guess.
