I second the Sham's suggestion of proper names.Will give far more credibility and responsible comment
May lose a few posters but I think you would gain some very credible ones!

What was Big Daddies real name.

my grandfather was jan-stefan and but got zietsman as nickname in school.....my nephew (first grandson) got the jan-stefan name and i (2nd oldest) got his nickname as birthname..... zietsman is actually a surname.....i had to explain it a few times lol

Using real names is an absolute non-starter for me. Not because I mind if the vast majority on here know who I am but firstly I do not want outside bodies to be able to easily identify me, though I doubt that would be difficult, but people can also be very vindictive and cause a load of problems if they want to. I can do without it thanks. Bob knows exactly who I am though.

As for the sh1t Dave n Bob get, as he says it is an unwelcome part of what they do. Why people can't a) see the good they do; b) the enormous benefit this site could be to SA Racing if the powers that be embraced it rather than seemingly choosing to fight it; c) why these poor wee folk who send all their emails, sms, legal threats etc haven't got the "bottle" to come on here and argue their case is completely beyond me. I give Mr Visser credit for attempting to do so, the fact that what he reported is seemingly contradicted by others is not the point, that can be sorted by the investigation.

Anyway, chins up Bob n Dave, terrific site, terrific fun, some lol terrific people and the only thing wrong with it as far as I'm concerned is those that read, don't partake and then go crying when they don't like something they've read. "Ahhh Diddums" springs to mind lol

Agree Englander , the fact that people can only read and never sign-up is the big problem , I will not reveal my name ,some clanners do know who I am and my real identity,not to be identified by the bookmakers, I have accounts with SA and international bookmakers and not going to reveal who I am . It will be a big plus if everybody needs to be registered before able to read on forum and even better if we can see who is reading every specific thread but to give my name out their, NEVER on a public forum
