Delta Form was trained by Mike Bass. It raced in Saltzman's colours. Was sold over to Michael Airey and Henry Mansell and maybe a few others and won the Summer Cup from the widest draw off all. 2 cents the yellow and black was Airey's colours. I had just stopped working for Henry Mansell and was on my way to make a new life in Australia. Dunno why I came back(:P)

The pic that Don attached was of Double Reef with KB on board. He was also owned by Len Saltzman and I believe at the time he was trained by David Payne. Saltzman had horses with a few trainers including Airey, Payne, Alexander and I'm sure a few others.
As far as I can recall Delta Form never raced in blinkers and he was a Chestnut gelding, this one looks bay or brown.

At that time though Saltzman had quite a portfolio of horses ala Clifton King (who was the only horse to ever beat Horse Chestnut), Mosszao who won the Gold bowl and a few others. He was big on Aussie/NZ imports.

That colt in the pic is definitely Double Reef and not Delta Form

Definitely correct regarding owner and trainer Delta Form could have left for overseas but was owned by given owners at the time of his last run in SA

Sorry Don, no I don't. The only thing we can do to verify that this horse is Double Reef is to find a captioned full body pic of him and compare the two.
