APL you can argue Uys case till you blue in the face my friend. Surely when you look at your tickets week in and week out you should have realized by now. Promote the man but don't punt his horses. He will close you and your company down.

Sorry Cuckoo no offence to your horse bud :) my point was that you couldnt make Steel Wings a good thing even in PE and you beat Stetson 6 lengths.. the very next run he was "pulled up" when running 2nd to MR BEAUROCRAT who has not missed a place since..

You either lay them or punt them . Friends don't misguide each other. I hope Uys reads the forum. He will know exactly what people think of him. This is a reason why owners don't sent the good stock to him.

If I was a honest man and had people saying otherwise It will bother me.

But anyways like you said we all entitled to our own views. Honestly I don't think you a bad guy APL but my personal opinion you will be soon sticking out for Mr Uys.

El I have been friends with Willie for more than 20 years and at this stage i am still in profit with him,and if it comes to pass that i fall behind due to his tipping i will still consider him a friend..,the fact that you think so poorly of him is only due to what he may or may not have cost you in racing and if that is the yard stick then you are intitled to rate him as you do,i on the other hand know him from outside racing as well and that is where i have drawn my opinion from.

The fact that you friends with him for over 20 yrs says alot for your winning tickets.

If he costs you R3000 a meeting it equals a R144000 +- a year. How often do you win?

I do alright thanx....managed have a bond free home and car which has been paid for from racing,I have my good days as well as the bad ones,I have learnt to blame my bad judgement when i loose and not try to palm the blame off on someone else, unfortunately a common trait in our industry

APL you one of the very lucky guys then I must say. Lucky they only race Fairview/Arlington once a week so you have the other days to make money otherwise you would be in the gutter following Willie.

Anyways good nite and Happy Punting !!!
