Whether stirring or getting a tan... on page 3 already on the Vaal sand today before racing has even started, CT racing yesterday did not even complete page 2. What is it about CT racing that makes it so unappealing to the public? They have serious questions to ask themselves, take action and get sorted pdq imho. (Admittedly I still had a small go yesterday but generally speaking) I get no enjoyment from CT racing and really find betting there extremely difficult. I hate the sharp turns, the dash to the inside which inevitably meets trouble, the dodgem car (and often seemingly senseless) style of riding that seems so prevalent there, I just don't trust the racing there at all... oh and the camera angles on the finish lines are a joke, might sound stupid but it all affects the enjoyment factor. I honestly prefer Flamingo to CT generally. But I am a punter not a horse lover. And can't they move Vicky to another centre, absolute waste of (potential) talent down there.

That may be so at Durbanville (punters nightmare??) but i must admit i do look at racing from a different angle not just the punting side, they have it all down there, location, scenery (kenilworth especially) J&B Met / Queens Plate ... beats the sh!t out of the vaal and big t imo.

And the best horse are in the Cape... hey Hibs...:)

even more to the point surely Greg, they have all the ingredients but they end up serving a very repetitive tasteless platter... or often, worse than tasteless! ;)

But young enough and keen enough to learn Bob...?

No idea Greg in truth and fair comment if so but, they still need to make it appealing to the non-attending punter.

Anyway, I'm crying about my missed 100k Vaal quartet... which I could never dream of getting in CT!

They have some strong three-year-olds this year - I wonder if any Gauteng trainers will raid the Cape for the Classics?

Mr Hawaii please tell me about the strong 3yr olds?:S
I'm a Cape Town boy and will never knock my province/racing centre, but this year?
So far I haven't seen anything that really exites me...unless i'm blinkered8-)

I actually think the Vaalies and the Banana Boys will do well

Englander,if you ever get to Durbanville you'll be hooked, you'll wan't to go back(tu)

You might even forget you're only a punter

Even if only for Vicky's voice:D
