I wonder if MDK didn't have sleepless nights trying to decide to run SFR or not? He must have known that with the going the way it was and GR1 company......

Anyway, on the bright side perhaps he will now stand in SA?

At the end of the UK Turf season they have these big meetings at York,Doncaster,Longchamps and Ascot and the money is massive.
That being so the owners/trainers bring out all the stars but they have been on the go for over 6 months running in very competitive races and a lot of them have gone over the top and should be turned out.
Today there were 4 winners:-
Farrh,Olympic Glory,Seal of Approval and Royal Diamond who each had not had more than 4 races each this year.
Therefore they were fresh and obviously laid out for these races.
Obviously the going was heavy but a lot of the runners were knackered and the riders just coasting in on them.
I think it is paddocks time for Igugu.
Maybe I am writing rubbish.

its a pity the going was soft at ascot because that will be the excuse for igugu and sfr running closer to last than first, but the reality is our best middle to classic distance horses are not up to gr1 uk horses and even with the mdk magic they really are outclassed in uk gr1 races.our very best horses will do ok in dubai, turkey, singapore or hong kong, but sadly they will be exposed in the uk.thats my opinion and its been proven over and over.

Igugu IMO is half the horse she was in SA. Something very amiss there. Very sad !!
