Was reading an article in the Sporting post .........20 years ago stakes were REDUCED in the Cape cos racing was failing...........nothing seems to change other than the optimism!

just a quick question the money that has been banked for the sale of clairwood 430mil, 200mil was ringfenced so the interest earned off the 200mil per year which is at 5 percent minimun is 10mil is this going to stakes as well or is this the 10mil that is added to the stakes pot?maybe rob faux our financial guru could me on this one

Gold Circle has also budgeted for an increased number of racemeetings - 109 as opposed to last season’s 98 - giving more opportunity for trainers to run their horses.
surely with the sale of clairwood it will mean less opportunity to race your horse as Greyville cannie host 20 horse fields??... yes they may of increased the amount the races but it limited the amount of entries per race??

Have you seen how big the kzn pools are?
Kzn should not worry how it effects the other regions pools

Just do a comparison. I don't have the time to do a spreadsheet.
Pools in KZN are way higher than the other regions

the industry survives on the local product being taken to around 40 countries around the world..go look at the results and balance sheets and you will see that gold circle get 25 percent of the profits from this and without it would be gone and forgotten..
