I see BB is going for the Paddock Stakes so Red Ray will still have a horse like CTN to beat in the Queens Plate.

Interesting to take a line through Zambezi Torrent - RR (57kg) bt ZT (55kg) by 4,65L
CTN (60kg) bt ZT (53,5 kg) by 4,00 L

My money would be with CTN in the Queens Plate

Boys you have to stop sensationalizing each horse who wins a race. Red Ray can never even be held in the same light as CTN let alone Variety Club.

He needs to do a lot of talking on the race track before he can be held in such lofty regards.

Like I said, I don't even think he is the best 3 year old in Cape Town let alone the country.

As said in my post agree 100%.........then there's a horse like Jackson who will most probably be in the Queens plate as well, but will obviously need a little further, but running on like a rocket in the Queens plate......

In my heart, i just have a feeling that Dean Kannemeyer holds the best 3yo in the Cape

She was 70% ready & sh.....t in, she'll WIN her races, I presume the Paddock Stakes. Not a bad start for SC & DD in the Cape.

Sorry Greg was out all day, will PM you when necessary. Start building up the kitty.

You are forgetting the age difference. On the above two runs using ZT as a yardstick then Red Ray in fact works out better than CTN since he met ZT at 2kg worse than WFA while CTN met ZT at WFA.
These are dangerous races to take at face value as the two winners were coming back from breaks and neither of them were extended. Both will come on from these runs. CTN is a proven Gr1 miler and at this stage he would have to be fancied to beat Red Ray at WFA over a mile. The Guineas will show us how good Red Ray is. He has massive potential for improvement.
His 2nd place in the SA Nursery was a very good run as he was clearly outpaced on a day when the course was running very fast and the 1160m was a touch too sharp for him.

Jackson was said o be suffering from an ulcer or sumthing and was only picked up in the dbn season, his. Was said to be he problem that caused his below par Met Run..
I'm thinking, if Jackson had an issue and he still ran 2nd 2 VC, maybe this QP will be at his mercy, I don know though, so many variables sooo many good horses, it is. Going to be a vvv decent race
