Hi Robert,
?
Note 1 - excluded are Run For It, Blaze Of Fire, Potala Palace, Masai Warrior and Eastern Cobbler - all scratched from the race since the last log.
Note 2 - there were five supplementary entries at 2nd entry stage viz Whiteline Fever, Abercrombie, Balse, Paterfamilias and Storm Warning.
There is still a 3rd entry opportunity on the same day as the final decs for the race on Mon 18 Nov.
Thank you!

Ilha Bela moves up from 16th to 12th after her quality 3rd when well in at the weights in a conditions plate. :S
Smangemanje goes from outside the Top 30 to 9th with a MR99 win. :S
How come is Master Sabina who beat Ilha Bela giving weight and now receiving weight is not in the Top 20?
Some very stange inclusions and exclusions.

Certain aspects of the new log confuse me.................but I have given up trying to make sense of subjective fields.
If you subscribe to an "ability rating " system ,why not accept,in that order, with perhaps 2 proviso's
1)evidence that distance suited
2)long lay offs need to show evidence of fitness/soundness
Anything else is surely suggesting that the handicappers and their ratings are inept!

I agree - also I think you did not mention Yorker, because you did not want to seem biased as you touted him as a possible value bet earlier on - well I find it mighty strange that after beating (on handicap terms) the top of the log Cherry on the Top, as welll as Wyllie Hall in the Nov, Y still only just manages to scrape into the 'next 10' - after having soundly beaten Tellina and Wagner (and Love Struck), who somehow all manage to stay in the top 20 :S And if the reasoning is that he is doubtful to stay the 2000, the same should apply to Killua Castle ?

Would you have a horse with (say) MR 115 who has not run for 6 months and has never won over further than (say) 1600 get into the race in stead of a horse that has (say) MR 105 who has run to his rating over a similar trip a couple of times in the last 3 months ?
I believe the principle of having a log is sound - but as with many other things in life, the application in practice of something that looks good in theory, is often a problem
