Pirates, not looking for an argument but maybe we all should be looking at plate races as even in the middle of the season when many good horses are getting prep runs, the conditions fillies in Cape Town on Wed could only get 7 acceptors. 2 plate races at the Vaal tomorrow only 7 and 8 acceptors. A novice on Thursday only 11. Even in the season the size of the fields is comparable to here.

it all depends where they fit the plate races in ...fillies guineas only 10 days away so yr better 3yo fillies in cape wont run and there are only 4yos and up in the race on wednesday...the 2 sand plate races could have been combined into 1 and the plate race on thursday has 3 nice horses in it and im sure would have had a better field if it wasnt 2 days away from the summer cup feature meeting...
