Does anyone have any idea how much the 1994 inauguration R5 coins are worth. I have held on to a few of them.

a lot of the older coins become worth more purely on their metal content...(I think)

Can anyone remember The Sunday Times article about a pot of gold accidentally falling into the mint of 1990 10c coins? I collected a glass full of those 10c coins and then the kids raided it and spent it....

i have sold two proof ones on open auction - biborbuy - for r1450 and r1680 in the last month and there were many others that got similar prices - I often get calls(at least once per week) from people who have between 20 to 50 of them that they collected in their change - Unless graded you can expect between R20 to R80 for them on auction if you are lucky

I took 5 coins back to them in Oct 2010 still waiting for them to be sold.I paid R3500 for the 1st 2 and then got a call from a trader there saying some estate wanted to get rid of there coins paid R1900 each for the other 3.How can they not sell the coins in 3 years I really believe they a bunch of scamsters.
