The Madji more people like you are needed in this industry. I have 2 guys at work that were great runners. 1 of them Walter Nkosi he has 4 or 5 gold medals in the comrades. He picked up an injury and had to start working as a driver. Im sure if he had someone like you in his camp he would have achieved much more. I have never met a better person willing to help anytime. He told me many unbelievable stories such as he was leading the comrades going up big polly the year the russian broke the record and then it got worse that he ran into a pride of lions at the Skukuza marathon. I later found out all these stories were true when reading on internet. The other guy Jacob Mazibuko had a top ten and a few top 20s in the 2 Oceans and came 11th in the Berlin marathon caught in the stadium to deny him a top ten. The stories they have told me about how agents screwed them over is unreal. It burns my heart to see where these guys lives are today. I wish you and your team all the best

Thanks Onyerway for the kind words. Is sometimes demoralising and one loses a lot of sleep with early starts and carting athletes around...but the rewards are really good when one sees a person achieving his or her true potential., and the massive changes in their attitudes and confidence.
We have one young athlete Thandile.... he works in a fish factory in Langebaan, does no formal training, no fancy nutrition programs (like the six we have on the elite squad) ... but when he saves enough to catch a bus down for the weekend to do a race he is absolutely snapping at the elites heels finishing just off the podium. He runs a 33 - 33:45 minute 10 kay, and a 1h19m half marathon. Darn we would love to get him on a decent program. He has the potential to dip under 30 minutes for the 10.
