Cuckoo ...I had a policy that if ever I had an need to play in the sand I would take a bucket and spade and go to the beach...howeverwith the Miller machine starting to falter there seems to be some value in the exotics there and we have got manna riding there tommorow so the added interest should make for an interesting days racing....how come you up so early re??

APL, whenever there is a sale of thoroughbreds (Equimark Vintage Yearling Sales today), there is this little (actually booming) noise in my head, fever sets in and the counselling wears off and ....

Something I found that helps is to tie a piece of string around my bollocks and to my wrist. Then every time I raise my hand at the sale I am reminded of what I am getting into.

This year I am also going to try the same with the trainer.
