I too have been a Manchester United fan since the Seventies even when they got relegated. I believe the fault also lies with Moyes coaching staff. Mike Phelan was an excellent backup to Sir Alex. Phil Neville and the rest in my opinion dont cut it. Hoping for a turn around in the Capital one cup tonight. Any win or trophy will do for me

In my opinion Moyes has one chance to save his job and the clubs rest of the season and that appears to be the current transfer window!
The aquasition of 3 quality players is all that is needed to inject some much needed urgency and life back into the team. Football has evolved from being just a sport to what it is now, a business and I cant see the owners being to happy with the fact not finishing in the top 4 come end of season and it is quite obvious with the players at his disposal this is not going to happen. Hence the importance of this current transfer window to save his and his inexperienced back room staffs jobs.
From day one I was not happy with his appointment I would have been much happier with Mourinho or Klopp or even one of the old guys like Keane, Blanc or Soljskaer. As all those mentioned managed teams who play or played attacking football unlike Moyes who has always been surrounded by average players playing "lucky football".
With what Martinez has achieved at Everton this season is phenomenal and begs to ask the question, Was Moyes holding back Everton all the years?
Unfortuanately at United there will be no time to slowly adjust and acclimatise as winning has always been part of the clubs existence in the era of the Premier League therefore if Moyes does not utilise this transfer window then he needs to @#$ off but if he does and he buys quality, experienced and established international players then I am all for him staying and getting the season back on track and getting a sustained run going to finish in the top 4.

2 or 3 days ago:
"We would like to bring people in but are those players available?" Moyes asked after his club's FA Cup defeat to Swansea on Sunday. "There is an urgency but there's no point in me hyping it up because the players we would like to bring in are probably not available in January." (td)
A few hours ago:
Manchester United manager David Moyes has been given assurances that significant funds are available to him for this month and the summer transfer windows, writes Sky Sports News' Chief News Reporter Bryan Swanson.
The club is targeting a left-back and central midfielder and senior figures at the club have told Sky Sports News that Moyes will receive all the financial support he needs to make any moves. (tu)

Moyes should go shopping at Southampton, two players have been very impressive so far this season, ADAM LALLANA and JAY RODRIGUEZ.

There are plenty of players available at this moment in time, Mata, Vidal, Koke, Herrera, Coentra, Gundogan, Di Maria, Reus and if the stories on Sky News are to be believed he has the full backing of the Glazers and there is +/- R100 million pounds available for transfers.
Use Anderson, Nani and Kagawa in part exchange with cash and I am sure 3 or 4 deals could be completed this January.
Nani + Cash for Vidal as Juve have long been chasing Nani.
Kagawa + Cash for Gundogan as Kagawa is out of his depth and could do with a return to the Bundesliga where was brilliant
Anderson plus cash for any of the others.
Coentra would come and Koke and Di Maria are there fro the taking with the right cash offer.
Also lots of talk for the brazillian Everton Riberio so there should be no excuses this transfer window!!!

GB I dont think the defence is that must of an issue, it's more the midfield which is creating the undue pressure on the defenders by being non existant.
if we can get any 3 of Koke, Ribiero, Gundogan, Vidal, Herrera, Reus, Di Maria I would be ecstatic and then throw in a left back I dont care who as long as not Baines I would be happy with that bit of business. Get rid of Nani, Anderson, Rio, Kagawa and all the other drift wood we have and we will be bakcin the top four by end of February.

i agree with you super red.it is very important to make the top 4 and with our current squad we wont do it.get rid of kagawa, cleverly, anderson, zaha,as soon as possible, get a quality central attacking midfielder and a quality left back to replace evra and at least you have a chance of making the top 4.no need to go overboard in this window, just 3 quality players is all we need and we can strengthen again in the off season.all this squad needs is quality to give the rest a much needed boost.
i will be watching the transfer market for any news and i hope we do make at least 2 quality signings b4 the window closes.
