Star Empire from stone last to run 1 1/2 lengths third. Another 100-200m and he would have won imho.

Some nice runs by MDK's lot. They'll appreciate the runs they had.

My opinions about the MDK runners.
The only one that was disappointing was Mutin although he ran behind a super smart sort in Cat'O Mountain and he is going to appreciate the turf.
Of the Magrooma and Magroora slug fest, both ran exceptionally well. They were both very strong in the running and Magroora got taken out at the rail because of this "no false rail" craps. She came back again at the death!!! Good run by both!
Full Combat was very much above himself and even he ran on very well. He will improve 10 lengths and the horses in that race will battle to beat him again.
I wish they would drop Kavanagh out and stop trying to bustle this horse.....he doesn't LIKE IT!!!! He should be ridden cold and you will see a different animal. Still he ran on quite nicely in the end!
Star Empire ran a cracker even though the race set up for him. He will appreciate a step up in trip and he will always be competitive! Very nice horse!
Lehaaf ran an honest sort of race in a relatively strong handicap. I'm sure he will improve and come on from the run. I didn't recognize the colors he ran in. Somebody, Anybody?????
All in all I would be very happy with these horses first runs. The racing is ultra competitive there now and you can see the boys want to win!
Looking forward to the balance of the carnival!!
