Do believe if we carry this on, all results should be looked at and not only winners. Someone can get lucky 1 race and beat someone who has tipped 4 winners in a day. Also I believe going forward it should include place bets. For instance money sugar today and jet aglow that I picked paid more for a place than the winner. You tell me which bet you would rather take.

But all in all this has been really fun and I love getting a chance to try my luck against some of you more seasoned guys.

Tut tut sir! Richie, I had 5 win today and a 20/1 shot called the winner over the line but done in a photo, that 20/1 shot was my second best of the day, I would not have been getting "lucky" if it had won!! :

Englander I tipped 7 winners, 3 seconds and a third and not even in the frame! Should I be considered unlucky or not?!

lol Tipster... nope, not in my book! I'd say well done to you though, that takes some doing (tu) but one 20/1 winner is better than 19 at evens and we all know the rules. I am merely saying that I don't think Richie :X should be saying it would be lucky if someone won the comp simply because they only picked one winner that happened to be a big outsider. Getting those roughies sometimes, repeat sometimes lol, takes a lot more skill than going for much shorter priced ones and thus for me it is a fully deserved win. I have no issue with people winning because they had Barbosa, excellent selecting and well done to them (tu)

Engels - Maybe luck is the wrong word. I still believe a fairer way of ensuring the top "tipster" (pun intended - well done sir) is selected is to include place bets as well. As i say and i see you picked it as well, jet aglow paying more for a place is a better bet than what you got on Beach Beauty to win and i think this should be rewarded.

Just an opinion, not my compo but thinking of going forward after the 4 weeks.

We can certainly debate the issue, but then would have to be tote dividends. I am not averse to this as it simplifies my calculations and one need only specify win or place for your R100 stake.... but we work on this later on in the month...

But that's the point Richie (morning bud )... this compo is about picking the winners and in that respect it doesn't matter what ran well at a price, you needed to be on BB.

No issues at all if you want to do another comp for places only bud. Personally, though I don't like the two being mixed but that tis just personal preference.
